Bats
Over the years I have seen people use THESE indoor/outdoor bats and I just had to get my hands on them this year. They added such a fun element to my front porch this year. I put them on my wall in random size orders to create a really organic look.
Even my 3 boys were excited about them and thought they were the coolest thing ever. Cheers to being a cool mom!
I had read that the sticky piece that came with them didn’t hold up very well so I ordered THESE sticky dots and I have been impressed with them so far!
Pumpkins & Mums
While I would LOVE to get my hands on some real pumpkins already – in south Alabama they would just melt in the heat and sun. So, I will wait until closer to Halloween to get my pumpkins and carry them into the Thanksgiving season.
A few weeks ago I made these terra-cotta look pumpkins over on the blog and I still love how they turned out! They were such an easy and fun craft to do and gave my porch a fresh look.
I added this gorgeous red mum in a planter that I got at Walmart a few years ago. I love the rich warmth that the mum gives my porch!
Floating Witch Hats
Adding the floating witch hats was probably the most fun part of this Halloween porch! I ordered THESE witch hats. I threaded a needle with some fishing line to give me something to hang the hats from. The fishing line is invisible for the most part which gives the hats a floating look.
I used white duct tape to tape the fishing line onto the vinyl ceiling of my porch. I hung the hats at different heights to add even more interest!
