Make your home smell like Christmas with this yummy stovetop potpourri recipe!

Ready for that cozy Christmas smell all season long?

Stovetop potpourri is a great way to get that cozy smell without all the synthetic fragrances. Keeping this recipe on a low simmer on your stove is a great way to indulge your senses this season.

I have a few different recipes I use depending on the season, but for Christmas, I want something cozy and nostalgic feeling. This recipe incorporates apples, oranges, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise. It’s a crowd favorite for sure!

Christmas Stovetop Potpourri Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cranberries
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 star anise, whole
  • 2 tbsp whole cloves

Instructions

  • Slice apple and orange
  • Add all ingredients to pot of water. Bring to a boil on medium high heat. Reduce down to simmer.
  • Add water as needed and enjoy for a few days on the stove.
