Stovetop potpourri is a great way to get that cozy smell without all the synthetic fragrances. Keeping this recipe on a low simmer on your stove is a great way to indulge your senses this season.
I have a few different recipes I use depending on the season, but for Christmas, I want something cozy and nostalgic feeling. This recipe incorporates apples, oranges, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise. It’s a crowd favorite for sure!
Christmas Stovetop Potpourri Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1/2 cup cranberries
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 star anise, whole
- 2 tbsp whole cloves
Instructions
- Slice apple and orange
- Add all ingredients to pot of water. Bring to a boil on medium high heat. Reduce down to simmer.
- Add water as needed and enjoy for a few days on the stove.
