How to Decorate a Beautiful Neutral Christmas Tree
There is nothing more magical than having a Christmas tree in your room. As the days get shorter, I will take any extra twinkle lights in my home. Our room is pretty neutral, and with the white-painted walls, I knew I wanted to add more sparkle to the space this season.
King of Christmas – 7.5′ King Flock Tree
When invited to work with King of Christmas, I knew I had to order a flocked tree. I have loved seeing these beautiful trees and was excited to finally have my own!
When I saw the infamous King of Christmas box arrive at my door, I could not wait to put it in our room. Everything was packaged nicely, and I love how they included gloves to fluff the tree. The worst part of fluffing the tree is when the branches poke you!
I love warm lights, and this King of Christmas tree has the most beautiful, soft lights—the remote offers eight different light modes, from steady white to a fun, fast flash. You are sure to find something you love!
The 7.5′ King Flock is a beautiful, full tree that will bring Christmas cheer to everyone!
Making Walmart Ribbon Look Luxurious
I used this beautiful white ribbed ribbon from Walmart. To create this look, I used about 60″ of ribbon and then folded the ribbon into about 8-9″ sections and folded that accordion style to make three loops with a long tail on the end. Then, I used floral wire or zip ties, which would also work great to secure the loops together. After, I fluffed each loop and placed it into the tree. Once the ribbon was secure, I cut a ‘V’ into the end of the ribbon tail.

This created a luxurious look in the tree: pennies on the dollar!
Adding in Picks for Dimension
Once I add ribbon to my tree, I love to add different picks for dimension. This is a great way to add more color and texture.
I added gold glitter leaves, white fluffy stems, and beautiful blueberry picks. All of these were $3 from Target. I was surprised they had so many good options this year!
Second-Hand Ornaments
I was browsing Facebook Marketplace one morning and saw someone selling “bronze ornaments” for $25. I messaged the seller and set a time to pick them up. The lot had some round ornaments, but some different shapes were mixed in. It was a great deal: 26 ornaments for $25! When I picked them up, I was not expecting them to be larger ornaments, but they were, and I was ecstatic!
I added the bronze and gold ornaments to the tree, which looked perfect! I also added some more oversized velvet ornaments from Hobby Lobby. The mix of different shapes and brown tones created a luxurious feel for the tree!
DIY Ornaments
I made some old-world-inspired ornaments to add a bit more blue to the tree. This was an easy and affordable project that you could do to give your existing ornaments a new look or purchase some inexpensive plastic ones to refinish.

Decorating a beautiful neutral Christmas tree doesn’t have to be complex or expensive. You can decorate a beautiful neutral Christmas tree with a few tweaks with ribbon, texture with affordable picks, search for secondhand ornaments, and even refinish ornaments you already have.
