Reveal: Our DIY Built Ins with Repurposed Cabinets!
DIY Built In Reveal
Ah! Hi friend! I can’t believe the time has come to reveal our DIY built ins with repurposed cabinets!! This project has been a long time in the works and it’s finally done and it is PERFECT! All finished photos are at the bottom of this post! Be sure to read through and check them out!!

If you haven’t read part 1 and 2 you can find them here:
Lighting
I had shared a few different options of light fixtures on my Facebook and Instagram and asked which one y’all would choose and surprisingly the one I liked the most ranked second.

At first I really liked option C but I felt like it was too trendy and with seeing how most trends are only around for 10 years before they cycle out, it was too late in the cycle of the farmhouse look for these light fixtures, at least in this space.
I loved option A from the time I saw it. The circular mount and the curve of the neck of the fixture sold me. It was perfect and added such a touch of class to this piece which is ultimately what I wanted to do.

You can grab the light fixture I chose HERE!
Here’s the kicker – I wanted the light fixture to have a deeper shade of gold so I just used my favorite Rub ‘n Buff in the color European Gold on it. It was such a simple and easy fix to make it everything I wanted
We plan to hardwire the light in, but haven’t done so yet. Follow me over on Instagram so you can see how it turns out once its wired in. I can’t wait to see it lit up at night.

Yes, I had totally started playing around with styling these shelves. Once I finish this post, that is exactly what I am going to do! Yippee! Christmas content is right around the corner.
Hardware
I wanted some simple knobs that wouldn’t take away from the shelving and light fixture.
I grabbed some $3 knobs from Lowe’s and used some Rub ‘n Buff in the color European Gold on them so they matched the light fixture.

Robby, my husband, installed them using a speed square to measure where they would go. To be honest, I have no idea how he does it but he does it so well and I am so thankful for his help always!

I think it all came out beautifully.
